Like many amazing adventure brands Sea to Summit started its life started on an old industrial sewing machine in the founder’s bedroom in 1983, at the young age of 17. As a young outdoor enthusiast, Roland Tyson realized then and there that he had a passion and a talent for creating cutting-edge outdoor equipment. Soon he was designing and manufacturing equipment for other Australian adventurers and by 1991 Sea to Summit was born and has not looked back since.
